A Laissez-Passer is issued to all Rwandans who intend to travel to the following countries: 

the Republic of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, the Republic of Uganda and the Republic of South Sudan upon fulfilling requirements.

APPLICATION IS MADE ONLINE

An application for laissez-passer is made online via Irembo official website: https://irembo.gov.rw

PROCESSING TIME

Three (3) working days for first application and two (2) working days for renewal

VALIDITY

Two (2) years.

DOCUMENT FEES

Ten thousand (10,000) Frw for applicants of 16 years old and above and Five thousand (5,000) Frw for applicants below 16 years old.

* Copy of valid identity card and presentation of the original identity card

*One recent colored passport size photo with white background and all features of the face

* Paymentof 10,000 Frw is paid to Irembo
